Arick has worked in construction for more than 30 years, and has been a (LA) state licensed commercial contractor for more than a decade. Originally from West Virginia, Arick came here with the Army’s 5th ID in 1987, and married Terri Johnson, a local girl from our community.
In the past 3 decades, we have built homes from the ground up, completed renovation projects, as well as worked on multi-billion dollar government facilities.
Arick gets the most enjoyment, however, on custom building the small projects for around the home, ones that he can complete in is home workshop, which we have just dubbed “the barn”. He recently added fence building to his repertoire.
Quality craftsmanship is our number one priority, if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right, and when we put our name on it, we want you to know that we will stand behind our work, and our best effort has gone into building your project.
In his off time, Arick enjoys college football (Go Mountaineers and Geaux Tigers!) and smoking briskets, or most any other type of meat.
We also own and operate a few other local businesses, Mountaineer Ice, the ice vending business located at 1268 Pitkin Road (Hwy 10) on Sandy Hill, the back way to Fort Polk. Other businesses include Get Healthy, Java Joe’s Coffee and The Wellness Center & Spa at Get Healthy, located at 107 S Washington St, Downtown, DeRidder. We renovated three turn-of-the-century buildings there, which now house our businesses.
